I totally forgot my password for my gmail account so I couldn't sign on to blogger. Anyhow, to make a long story short, I thought it was hopeless so I gave up. My husband decided to try again tonight and low and behold he was able to get in!!!!! Thank Billy. So I guess I have to think of a recipe now. Ha! My most recent recipe that I have tried is Beef and Cabbage soup. When I made it, I left out the beans because we are watching our carbs (sigh) but it was still delicious. Hope you like it too.
Beef and Cabbage Soup
1 lb beef stew meat (I cut my pieces smaller before I cook them)
2 stalks celery, cut into small pieces
1 bag of coleslaw mix or 2 cups of sliced cabbage (coleslaw mix is quicker)
1 small can of kidney beans
28 oz. petite diced tomatoes
1 tomato can of water
4 tsp beef bouillon granules
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Place small amount of oil in a pot over medium high heat. Add beef stew meat and salt/pepper to taste. Allow to brown. Once beef is seared, add enough water to cover and simmer on medium until beef is tender. (I use a pressure cooker for this or just put it in a crock pot on low in the morning and it will be nice a tender by dinner) After beef is tender, add remaining ingredients. Cook for about 1/2 hour or until cabbage and celery are soft.
I will TRY to post more than once a year from now on. :)
